Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified client-facing professional to lead our business development and manage relationships with a broad cross-section of institutional investors and financial intermediaries around the globe. The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial and passionate about growing the business and providing exceptional client service. You will work in close collaboration with research, portfolio management, and operations team to ensure a high level of service to existing clients and growth of the firm. Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our quantitative approach and investment culture
  • Grow the business through active networking with consultants and institutional investors
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance client relationships

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a minimum of five to ten years in a similar role and involvement with a traditional asset manager or a hedge fund, with responsibility for representing the firm’s investments.

Dual role opportunity that encompasses management of compliance policies with a particular focus on regulatory and legal side, control of company finances, and CEO assistance. Responsibilities

  • Lead the internal Compliance program and support firm’s outsourced CCO. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Answer DDQs and present to clients in due diligence meetings

  • Provide legal reviews of contractual matters
  • Oversee company’s finances, HR, client billing, and expenses. Find opportunities to improve operating efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate operational risks
  • Demonstrate leadership and influence through active participation. Develop a strategic operational direction, front and back office coordination. Identify best practices and ensure process consistency

Qualifications

  • MS, JD, MBA or equivalent in a related field is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with an investment manager, hedge fund or similar financial service provider
  • Understanding of markets, trading, and settlement processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory regime for clients subject to SEC, ERISA, Investment Company Act, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and other applicable laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to anticipate issues before they arise

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in a quantitative discipline like finance, physics, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or computer science from a top university is required

  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis and experience with financial and macroeconomic databases is a plus
